A WONDERtorium for north central Oklahoma
| Share |

The Oklahoma WONDERtorium will primarily serve north central Oklahoma's children and families. This region is sorely deficient in family-friendly, educational entertainment opportunities. Establishing a physical location for the museum will further expand our outreach, engage grown-ups in the learning process, and create a resource for families and educators that does not currently exist.

The Oklahoma WONDERtorium has been a "museum without walls" – we have not had a physical location. To offer programming, however, we established an outreach program named Museum Without Walls and through it we have taken five interactive, hands-on educational programs to elementaries in Payne County and adjacent counties beginning in 2006. Below, you will see a map of north central Oklahoma that notes the towns and cities we currently serve with our Museum Without Walls outreach program. Even with the facility we will open in Summer 2011, Museum Without Walls will continue to take programs into schools in these communities. To date, over 16,000 children have received a Museum Without Walls program.
