At Oklahoma WONDERtorium we believe in inspiring curiosity to learn through play… for a lifetime. Every day, our expertly designed exhibits and programs open doors for Oklahoma's curious young minds to express what they know and to discover, create and explore more – on their own terms.
Designed primarily for children ages 12 and younger, the Oklahoma WONDERtorium is recognized regionally as a cultural and educational institution serving children and families on-site and through outreach programs. The museum’s exhibits and innovative educational programs emphasize hands-on engagement and learning through experience, employing play as a tool to spark the inherent creativity, curiosity, and imagination of children. Exhibits explore science, math, creativity, history, culture, health & wellness, dramatic play and problem-solving.
The Oklahoma WONDERtorium is a 501(c)(3), private non-profit organization, and a member of the Oklahoma Museums Association and the Association of Children's Museums, a national trade organization comprised of over 510 members.
Today's Children's Museums
Currently, children’s museums represent one of the fastest growing segments within educational/cultural institutions in the United States. Over the last decade the number of children’s museums has grown by 100% annually reaching nearly 30 million children and families. Children's museums rank second only to zoos among museum-related attractions in their ability to attract ethnically and culturally diverse audiences and address the needs of young children.
