Board of Directors' Meetings

The public is invited to attend the monthly meeting of the Oklahoma WONDERtorium Board of Directors. Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday, at 11:30 a.m., and normally held in Room 100 of the Stillwater Community Center, 9th & Duck.

The Oklahoma WONDERtorium's Board of Directors works with dedication to initiate, advise, plan, and execute the activities of our children's museum. Our photos below begin by showing us as children because our goal is to always keep in mind our audience… children and families. You can see us as adults by mousing over the images (not all are complete, but quite a few are!). The Oklahoma WONDERtorium

Bethany Houser, MemberBethany Houser, President
Bethany was raised in Tulsa, OK and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. In 1996 she graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. She worked as an engineer for five years until she and her husband Stephen were blessed with their first child. Two years after that, they were doubly blessed with precious twin girls. Bethany has worn many hats in order to satisfy her creative and logical interests. Her favorites include web site designer, jewelry designer, dance teacher/choreographer, and now Exhibit Developer. She is also an active member of her church and loves to travel with her family.

Katrina Jarvis, Vice PresidentKatrina Jarvis, Vice President
Katrina Jarvis came to Stillwater from Enid to attend OSU. Since then she has made her home in Perkins with her husband and 15-year-old son. Katrina has served on the Board of Directors for Downtown Stillwater Unlimited and the Main Street organization, where she served as Board President. She is also very active in her church. Katrina has been with Stillwater National Bank since 1994 and is currently Vice President of Stillwater National Bank Financial Services.

Lorrie Janzen is the mother of two beautiful daughters and is married to Juergen Janzen. She has a degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University. She is and has been involved in many volunteer organizations in Stillwater. She is active in her Church. Lorrie believes in Stillwater and is truly passionate about the great opportunities the Oklahoma WONDERtorium will be able to offer our community.

Cassie Griffin, TreasurerCassandra (Cassie) Griffin, Treasurer
Cassandra (Cassie) is married to Darin and is the proud mother of three daughters. She was born and raised in Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1997 earning both a Masters of Science and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. Cassie is a CPA and worked six years in public accounting before joining Stillwater National Bank in May 2007 where she currently serves as the Assistant Public Company Reporting Manager. She is a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Elementary Parent Teacher Organization. Cassie is active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, gardening, and OSU sports.

Luke is married to his wonderful wife, Jennifer, and is the proud father of two little girls and a son. A native of Stillwater, he graduated from Stillwater High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Oklahoma State University. Luke received a juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa before returning to Stillwater to start the Anthony Law Firm, PLLC. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Payne County Bar Association, the Westwood Elementary Parent Teacher Association, and a volunteer for Legal Aid of Oklahoma. In his spare time, Luke enjoys cooking, gardening, playing disc golf, and spending time with his wife and children.

Carrie Hulsey-GreeneCarrie Hulsey-Greene, Member
Carrie Hulsey-Greene is the Associate Director of Communications for Oklahoma State University. Prior to her current position, Carrie spent more than 15 years as a reporter, anchor and news director in radio across the state of Oklahoma, including KOSU in Stillwater and KTOK in Oklahoma City. A native Oklahoman, Carrie considers Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, her hometown. She attended Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. Carrie is a recent graduate of Leadership Stillwater Class IXX, and has enjoyed volunteering her time with the Miss OSU Pageant, Stillwater Junior Service League, Girl Scouts and Westwood Elementary School. Carrie and her husband, Carl, have a daughter, Hulsey. As the daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend of many educators, Carrie is excited about the educational opportunities the Oklahoma WONDERtorium will provide children.

Ann Hargis, MemberAnn Hargis, Member
Ann Hargis became the "First Lady", or "First Cowgirl", of Oklahoma State University when her husband, Burns, took office as the 18th President of the OSU System on March 10, 2008. Mrs. Hargis is an active and successful ambassador for OSU. In addition to partnering with President Hargis on many activities, she is active across the campus and community. On the OSU campus, Ann is involved with Friends of the Library, Friends of Music, Lahoma Club and she is sharing her love for physical fitness by teaching a yoga class to OSU faculty and staff. In the Stillwater community, Mrs. Hargis is active with the Stillwater Public Education Foundation and the Stillwater Children's Museum. A native of Dallas, Mrs. Hargis earned her bachelor's degree in math and Latin from the University of Texas. She worked a number of years in the information technology industry and advertising and marketing. Prior to coming to Stillwater, Ann was actively involved in various community and volunteer work in Oklahoma City in an assortment of areas, including health and children's issues and the arts. She was a member of Leadership Oklahoma Class V. Mrs. Hargis and her husband have two married children – son Matt and his wife Michelle, and daughter Kate Haas and her husband Richard; and three grandchildren – Peighton, Preston and Oliver.

Marcia Karns, Member
Marcia is the proud mother of two wonderful children and has two granddaughters, Maggie (two-plus) and Greta (one-plus). Marcia is married to her amazing husband, Tom. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Technology from Oklahoma State University. She is very involved in the community and has been for the past 20 years, having served as the Executive Director of the Stillwater Public Education Foundation and volunteers at the Lincoln Alternative School. Marcia loves children and education and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, sailing and OSU sports.

Jason is the proud father of two great kids. He earned both his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and Master’s of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University and is a lifetime member of the OSU Alumni Association. Jason serves as a volunteer for the Payne County Court Appointed Special Advocates and has numerous affiliations with research administration professional societies. He has achieved designation as a Certified Research Administrator. Jason loves spending time with his wife and children and playing golf and baseball. Jason currently works for the Vice President for Research & Technology Transfer at Oklahoma State University.

Kenny Quigley, MemberKenny Quigley, Member
Kenny was born and raised in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He graduated from Kingfisher High School. He attended Oklahoma State University and obtained a B.S. Degree in Agriculture Education. He also attended Oklahoma City University and received a Masters in Business Administration. Kenny has worked for the USDA/Rural Development Agency since 1988. He is loan officer for the agency and underwrites commercial business loans covering the entire state of Oklahoma. He is married to Kari, who teaches 7th grade mathematics at Stillwater Middle School. They have two sons, Kyle and Kade. He is a member of the Stillwater Church of Christ and assists in children’s bible school. Kenny is very involved in his sons’ activities, civic groups and Alpha Gamma Rho Alumni Association. He is a recent graduate of Leadership Oklahoma Class IXX and Leadership Stillwater Class XVII. His hobbies include camping, OSU sports and spending time with his family.

Jim is the Board's first Canadian member. A native of Ontario and Northern New York, Jim graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Biochemistry. While in grad school at Cornell, he met and married Cheryl Baker, currently a USDA wheat geneticist and Total Health Pilates instructor. Jim and Cheryl moved to Stillwater in 1984 where they have raised three wonderful children. Jim has worked in the Stillwater Public Schools for 20 years as a high school science teacher, Director of Technology, and currently as Assistant Superintendent. His interest in using inquiry as a teaching tool and to engage children has guided him as a teacher and will guide him as a board member of the Oklahoma WONDERtorium.
