The Oklahoma WONDERtorium needs your support! We are looking for volunteers to help us bring an interactive children's museum to Stillwater!

Application Process for becoming a Volunteer
All inquiries to volunteer for the Oklahoma WONDERtorium will be required to go through an application process. This process is designed to evaluate the volunteer, their skills, interests, needs and commitment level, as well as, what areas are available to volunteer within the museum. Note: for community service, class projects or volunteerism of 25 hours or less, please fill out the temporary volunteer application provided below.

Requirements for application:

• Must be 15 years of age and older: if under 18, we must have written parental consent.
• Pass a reference check.
• Participate in training.

Application process:

1. Fill out our online application here or download it as a PDF or Word document and mail it in.
2. The Volunteer Coordinator will assess the application.
3. The Volunteer Coordinator will schedule an interview with the applicant.
4. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact the applicant verifying acceptance.
5. The Volunteer will attend and complete Orientation Training.
6. A reference check will be performed.
7. The volunteer will be added to the active volunteer list (i.e., events, office, etc.)
8. The volunteer can then schedule and participate in the various volunteer areas available.

These come from your application – your interests, skills, past experiences, availability, time commitment, background check form, training and references. After the interview the Volunteer Coordinator will check the applicant's references.

The Volunteer Coordinator will evaluate the volunteer candidate on suitability to the museum, interest and commitment level, in regards to volunteer positions assisting the museum. Once the volunteer has been accepted, training will be scheduled. Orientation to the operations of the museum will be scheduled and additional information will be given to the applicant to help with understanding the mission, purpose and goals of the museum.

All volunteers will be responsible for keeping their hours with the museum and turning them in monthly to the Volunteer Coordinator.
